Fave Nightwish Song/Album

Because you know we have to have this thread!!

I'll start.. I can't pick one song but my fave album is DPP so far.. I love them all though!

favorite song is all of them lol favorite album must be wishmaster or oceanborn

My favorite album is Century Child, and the favorite song is Nemo from the Once-Album.... DPP is very very good, but not good enough

This is so hard to chose! I guess Once and Century Child would be the best albums... and the songs... how can I pick a song; they're all good! Lately I really like Beauty of the Beast, Creek Mary's Blood and The Poet and the Pendulum.

It is VERY hard to choose I agree.. some of my fave songs at the moment are: Tutankhamen, Beauty and the Beast, Beauty of the Beast, FantasMic, Come cover me, Everdream.
I was saying to a friend today, even if there are some songs that I don't like as much as others, there are great parts to EVERY NW song I believe. They are just phenomenal

My liking for different Nightwish songs goes my period I think... Like a few years ago I always skipped Nemo and Ever Dream and now I love them! Maybe this has to do with Anette's interpretation.

Wishamster will be my favorite Nightwish album I also like Century Child alot. I don't have any favortire Nightwish song generally but right now I listen to Ghost Love Score all the time..

My favorite album definitely has to be Dark Passion Play, and I think my favorite song is The Escapist, although I'm also in love with Beauty and the Beast, Nemo, Wish I Had An Angel, and The Poet and the Pendulm.

My favorite album is torn between Dark Passion Play and Century Child. But my favorite songs would have to be "Dark Chest of Wonders", "I Wish I Had an Angel", "Walking in the Air", and "The Poet and the Pendulum. It's so hard to pick just one favorite song or a favorite album.

I'm with you, Swaying_Blade, I love Escapist. It's pretty much perfect. <3 But I've recently gotten back into the really old Nightwish stuff, like...Nymphomaniac Fantasia, The Forever Moments, stuff like that. It's so amazing how they've changed. Gotta love it. <33

I luvluvLUV the old stuff too! Astral Romance and The Carpenter and Nightwish...mmm, SO good. Nightwish has changed so much. I like mixing up listening to their new stuff with listening to their old stuff. Fun times.

The Escapist!! I forgot to mention that one, but it's one of my favorites! On some levels, it sounds more like olde Nightwish. I like mixing up Old and New Nightwish too, but I like best the stuff from Century Child to Dark Passion Play.

Mmmm, I forgot about Walking In The Air. I <3 that song! Love Nightwish's rendition of it. Tarja's voice is so beautiful on that song. And gah! I totally forgot about Sacrament Of Wilderness! That song is probably my 4th favorite Nightwish song of all time.

Ooh, Walking in the Air! Yeah. That one's basically A-MAZ-ING. And Sacrament of Wilderness! And, um, everything else Nightwish has ever written!

Hehe, I hadn't thought about Escapist that way, Linwe. Very good way of expressing it! I remember when I first heard it, my mom was sitting in the same room and I played it over and over and over again. She was like, "Duuuude. That's the fiftieth time you've listened to that. Pick something else, gosh!" But I can still listen to it again and again. <3

But I would have to say my favourite songs are Ghost Love Score, The Poet And The Pendulum, Nemo, Moondance, Bless The Child, Slaying The Dreamer, EverDream, 7 Days To The Wolves, Dream To The World, Wishmaster, Sleeping Sun, The Escapist, Amaranth... oh, this list could go on and on, what song of Nightwish isn't fantastic?

As for album... I would say Once is my favourite, followed by Century Child and Dark Passion Play.
Each album is a masterpiece though!

I loved Century Child, Tarja's voice was amazing there but I think Dark Passion Play is gaining some territory amongst Nightwish fans, Anette is really gaining territory which is great because some fans were really concerned over her voice. My favorite songs are Sleeping Sun, Nemo, Wishmaster, Eva and Amaranth

I luvluvLUV Last of the Wilds...I'm so hat excited that Nightwish is doing that song live now. Hopefully they'll play it in May when I go to their Orangevale concert.

I love Sleeping Sun also, and Gethsemane, and Slaying The Dreamer.

I also really like now their finnish song of Last Of The Wilds.. and While Your Lips Are Still Red..

Argh, I can't believe I forgot While Your Lips Are Still Red! The first time I heard that song it become my instant all-time-favorite Nightwish song. It's not anymore, but I still love it. Great, great song.

Dude, Last of the Wilds is freaking amazing live. <3 Like you, Lucretia, I've only seen it on youtube but it was ahhhh amazing on there, and I'm just really hoping that they actually COME to my area sometime so I can go see them. Because I will. Obviously. <_<

Tutankhamen is pretty cool, especially the beginning but not on my top favorites right now.

I think I´ve got no favorite NW album, they are all amazing. But in the moment I often listen to "Angels Fall First" (Tuomas´singing is so cute ^^) and of course "Dark Passion Play".

My favorite songs: The Poet And The Pendulum, Dark Chest Of Wonders, Slaying The Dreamer, Ever Dream (especially sung by Anette), While Youre Lips Are Still Red, The Kinslayer, Elvenpath and many many more.

Oh I love Tuomas voice! Especially in Once Upon A Troubadour.
And Angels Fall First, the song, is amazing.

Angels Fall First is an amazing song! It was my favourite for a very long time. Although, my current number 1 is Ever Dream.
